Protect Yourself From the Flu

You can help protect yourself from the flu by following three easy steps:

Get your seasonal flu vaccine.

Get your H1N1 (“swine”) flu vaccine if you are high risk which is defined by the CDC as the following groups:

  • Pregnant women
  • Anyone aged six months to 24 years
  • Caregivers of infants > 6 months
  • 25-65 year olds with a chronic health condition
  • Healthcare workers

Take everyday steps to prevent the spread of germs, such as:

  • Wash your hands
  • Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze
  • Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth
  • Avoid contact with others when they or you are sick
